Unclear Identity and Masculinity

Many young men lack a clear sense of who they want to become and what healthy masculinity looks like in today's world.

The Problem

Today's young men are growing up in a world where traditional ideas about masculinity have changed significantly.

While previous generations often inherited clear expectations about what it meant to become a man, many young men today are navigating conflicting messages about strength, success, relationships, leadership and purpose. As a result, many feel uncertain about who they are, what they stand for and the kind of man they want to become.

How It's Delivered

Two ways to bring this to your students

Option 1

An Engaging Presentation

Using engaging visuals, compelling stories and evidence-informed research from psychology, human development and wellbeing, this presentation explores how identity is formed and why developing a healthy sense of masculinity is essential for confidence, resilience and long-term fulfilment.

Students are encouraged to move beyond stereotypes and instead build an identity grounded in character, responsibility, purpose and personal integrity.

Students leave with a clearer understanding that becoming a man is not about meeting someone else's expectations, but about intentionally developing the values, strengths and character that enable them to contribute positively to their families, communities and future relationships.

Option 2

Interactive Tutorial & Discussion

60–120 min

Students participate in a highly interactive workshop that encourages them to explore who they are, who they are becoming and the qualities they want to develop as young men.

Rather than presenting a fixed definition of masculinity, the workshop encourages students to intentionally develop their own identity based on responsibility, integrity, courage, service and meaningful contribution.

Students leave with greater self-awareness and a practical plan for continuing their personal development throughout adulthood.
