Lack of Purpose and Direction

With fewer predefined life paths, many young adults struggle to determine what truly matters and what kind of life they want to build.

The Problem

Purpose isn't found. It's built.

Today's young adults have more freedom and opportunity than any previous generation, but with that freedom comes an overwhelming number of choices.

Without clearly defined life paths or a shared roadmap for adulthood, many students find themselves asking important questions such as "Who am I?", "What do I want from life?", and "What is the purpose of it all?" This uncertainty can lead to confusion, indecision and a feeling of drifting through life without a clear sense of direction.

How It's Delivered

Two ways to bring this to your students

Option 1

An Engaging Presentation

30 min + 10 min Q&A

Using engaging visuals, compelling stories and evidence-based research from psychology, wellbeing and human development, this presentation explores why purpose has become increasingly difficult to find in today's world.

Students discover that purpose is not something they suddenly find — it is something they gradually build through understanding themselves, identifying what they value and intentionally pursuing meaningful goals.

Students leave with a renewed sense of hope and a practical framework for beginning the lifelong journey of building a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Option 2

Interactive Tutorial & Discussion

60–120 min

Students participate in a highly interactive workshop designed to help them begin discovering who they are, what they value and the kind of future they want to create.

Rather than encouraging students to search for one perfect purpose, the workshop helps them understand that purpose develops through intentional choices, meaningful contribution and continual personal growth.

By the end of the session, students begin creating a personal roadmap that reflects their unique strengths, values and vision for the future.

Interactive Learning Tools

Built into Option 2

Four purpose-built tools help students build clarity from the inside out.

The Purpose Finder

Students explore the intersection of their strengths, values, interests and opportunities to discover the work and contributions that give their lives meaning.

Identity Explorer

Students reflect on how their beliefs, experiences and personal story have shaped who they're becoming, and learn to intentionally build the identity that supports their future.

Designing Your Life

Students bring everything together into a practical blueprint for their future, considering how career, relationships, health, finances and personal growth all fit together.

The Values Clarifier

Students identify the principles and priorities that matter most to them, gaining a reliable compass for making decisions and setting goals throughout their lives.

Why These Tools?

Purpose is rarely about opportunity

A lack of purpose is rarely caused by a lack of opportunity. More often, it stems from not yet understanding yourself or what truly matters to you. These four tools help students answer four essential questions:

What gives my life meaning and purpose?

Who am I becoming?

What kind of life do I want to intentionally build?

What values should guide my decisions?

"Purpose isn't found. It's built, one intentional step at a time."

The Underlying Idea

Your life, intentionally designed

Together, these tools give students a practical, evidence-informed framework for discovering purpose, strengthening their identity and intentionally designing a fulfilling life — rather than drifting through life waiting for purpose to appear.
